Over the past 6 years, MCE Deepwater Development has evolved into one of the world's premier Deepwater Events.  One of the most unique aspects of this conference and exhibition is the active participation of an Operator Host.  This formula has proved extremely successful in providing a focus for the technical program, the exhibition as well as the venue city.  Over the past years we have seen a technical program which began as a focus on Marine Construction and Engineering evolve into a program focused on all aspects of Deepwater Development.

For 2010 we are happy to announce MCE Deepwater Development will now be known simply as "Deepwater Development".  This slight change will allow the program to be focused more deeply on both technical issues as well as the business aspects of Global Deepwater Development.  In order to broaden the reach and appeal of this show we are also moving to a multi-Host format.  We are extremely pleased that, to date, both Total and BP have agreed to serve as co-Hosts.  This slight change will bring more experiences to the technical agenda while providing broader appeal to the industry as a whole.

Recent economic struggles reveal that shows are judged based on the value they provide.  To this end, there will be no price increases for the 2010 show.  In addition, our surveys show that Networking is the #1 or #2 reason to attend a conference, so providing a more intimate environment will enhance networking opportunities.  Location has always been important to our attendees, so we have chosen Amsterdam due to its central location.  The Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is world famous as one of Europe's great hotels and will serve as the venue.  The ability to house the exhibition, conference together with all attendee hotel rooms will not only enhance networking, but also provide lower cost to all attending.
